I like mini's...and won't be upset if they give them out again this year....but here's something to think about...how about giving a new set of mini's to 1yr olds on their b-day, and for 2-yr olds giving the same set of mini's and something on top of that...something that can't be traded...maybe something for your acct...
-Weapon Glow
-Emotes for how old you are (separate ones for 1 and 2 years old)
-Title for how old you are
-Special Hat
-Costumes (item that can be turned on and off to make you look like different creatures/humans)

I have 1 character that's going to be turning 2 on the two year mark..the rest are either shortly after or not even a year...

I hope you guys have fun discussing this sort of thing, but it's pretty clearly stated on the official site that each year they will release a new set of mini pets.

I feel truly sorry for all the people out there that hate minis because they're useless. It must be really hard being that practical all the time.

And just for informational purposes, pets wouldn't cause any more lag than minis. In the magical world of computers, it doesn't make a bit of difference how "big" an item is. A minipig, for instance, is exactly the same polycount, texture resolution, and bone structure as a full-sized pet pig, and therefore causes the exact same amount of lag.

we need a unlock button to unlock a second slot for minis, so u can have 2 out at a time

ALSO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Anet need to make a mini Yak Rider whatever they are called, the summit that ride the armored yaks......best mini ever, or a little army of summit,yes a little army so the mini would be like 3 or 5 summits running by you!!!

Wow... axe to grind? I think most people here are responding to Gail saying "If you want to see what happens with your 2nd birthday... time will tell!" I mean, it it were just a mini it would be pretty friggin obvious. Sure, we all know it could be, and so far everything about presents = mini. But there is speculation because she made the 2nd year sound different than the first. that's it.

Why not make that 2 year character of yours available as a hero for that account? Wouldn't that be nice? Everybody can have mini pets but seeing your favorite character fighting alongside with you is priceless

How about a slightly power up weapon that cannot be sold just like a pre-order weapon. Eg higher dmg%, higher energy bounus.......

I'll take whatever they give us, be it a special quest accessible only to 2 year players and older, or a mini, or even something as simple as a trim on our capes. I like the idea of something that won't take up space, however, like a special quest or cape trim.
